Calista's Diary

Editor's note:

Hey guys!  This is an excerpt from Calista's diary!  We want to recreate the stories and scenes within her diary with photos and eventually video, but we need more resources so bare with us!  Doll accessories are expensive and casting the parts of the BFC siblings and rivals will take time.  I photo shopped a couple of photos to fit in with the stories I hope you enjoy them!

All About Me!

dream career:  Something to do with math...

secret ambition:  I really liked being a quiz host, so I think that would be pretty cool. or being President!

Monday, 8:10 a.m.
Call me crazy, but I'm kind of looking forward to going back to school today. It's not that vacation wasn't fun - camping with Gianna and her family again rocked - but school is cool too.  Besides all the new stuff to learn, there's the added brilliant-ness of seeing my friends every day.  hanging out with the BFC at lunch time is the best!

5:25 p.m. 💘
REPORT: First day of school

Not cool: Dina the Diva sneering, "I was hoping you losers had been eaten by a shark over the summer."
Cool: Gianna telling Dina to shut up, and Dina having to listen because she's Gianna's friend.   2-1=💔

Cool: Showing the BFC my vacation photos, and everyone agreeing they were amazing.  Kaitlin even said I should be a photographer after college. ⬅️ Awesome job alert!

Not cool:  Having to say no when they asked if I could tale pics of them. Gianna's dad taught me how to use his camera and let me borrow it all the time on vacation.  But now that we're back, there's no way I can afford one of my own.

Not cool:  Ms. Street asking me to stay behind after class and everyone thinking I'd done something bad, like taking revenge on Dina or only getting a B on our first test of the term.
Cool: Ms. Street inviting me to join the school tutoring program.  If I decide to do it, I'll be helping younger students with the math, and it counts towards my final grade.

When I got home I kept thinking about how much the other's liked my vacation photos. It's weird, but I miss snapping away whenever I want.  I really got used to it while we were camping.  1+1=💘

The only camera I have at home is on my phone, which is seriously ancient.  It more or less works for texting and calling my friends, but the last time I used it to take a photo was when the BFC was having a picnic in the park, and it made us look like a bunch of aliens hanging out in a foggy field.

I sooo need to think of a way to get my own camera. I know Mom and Dad can't afford to buy me one, and it would take about a hundred years to save up enough allowance money.  I've tried doing a part-time job before, but if I decide to join the tutoring program at school, there's no way I'll have time.  My only hope is to bring it up at the next BFC meeting and see if anyone else has a genius solution to the problem.

Check back next week for the next journal entry!  And check back daily for updates!

Friends, Fights, and BIG Secrets - Calista's Diary

Wednesday 4:30 pm When it comes to keeping secrets, I am officially the Queen of Sealed Lips.  I can't tell you hoe many totally hush-hush things I know about my friends.  Until today, I've never had to keep one from them. It all started when Ms. Street asked me to stay after school.  Aliesha, Noelle, Addison, and Kaitlin gave me a funny look, but I didn't have any more of an idea than they did. "Teacher's Pet." whispered Dina, as she left the room with everyone else.  I just ignored her. Anyway. it turned out Ms. Street wanted to talk to me about this special project for the top-secret class Fun Day. OPERATION CLASS FUN DAY DATE: Last day of the semester MISSION:  Write questions for prize winning-quiz MISSION EXTRA:  Be quiz host on the day (a little like that cute guy on "Lucky Numbers", so dreamy!). PROS:  I already know loads of amazing facts, which I can turn into great questions. CONS:  Keeping it from my friend...

BFC Ink Pen Pals - Nocolette from France (Fan Story)

Nicolette - Bonjour!!!  Je m'appelle Nicolette!  I live in France and am one of the newest member of the BFC as their pen pal! By the way, shameless plug for our editor's Jafra Cosmetics business...  Have you heard of Jafra?  They released this really good smelling perfume called "Paris et Moi". Here is a video! Pretty neat, right? You can order yours at www.myJafra.com/Fabulous What do you know about France?  Syren has been there when she was younger and got to tour most of the country and even stopped at Monaco and Switzerland.  I prefer the provence, that is the countryside of France, but of course most people when they think of France they think of Paris. I can't tell you too much about myself per the official BFC story-archs because there was not much out there for Syren to find.  So this is all original concept here... I currently live in Paris, but I am from Toulouse, known as "La Ville Rose" (The Pink City) because a lot of our buil...
